Where art thou Bobby?

Posted on May 22nd, 2008 by cosmicbdog : paradigm changer cosmicbdog
Some folks may have noticed I'm not writing a regular column here anymore on the benefits of not eating meat. I decided to find somewhere more appropriate and supportive to those efforts.

I have just posted my first blog over at happycow.net which is a community that begun its focus around providing all of the vegetarian food outlets on earth. It makes the cows happy. I love cows.

So my first blog there is available for the reading. Bobby, I mean cosmicbdog is still alive and kicking and his current kicks / writing has been focused on The ‘compassionate’ kill. So check it out. There's plenty in there to laugh about and as usual I've thrown in a few of those good old fashioned caveman excuses as to why people think its ok to eat meat. I think even meaties could have a laugh.

I hope you are rocking the cosmos fellow creature of earth. Don't be a motherfucker. Love your mother.

just went Macrobiotic this week.  Already starting to see some positive effects (deeper sleep, clearer mind).

I wonder how things will be a week from now?

cheers

Feeling so much lighter was the first thing I noticed about 2 weeks in. And that I was sleeping shorter, but deeper as though I was getting much much more rejuvination from the time in relax mode.
Hope it goes awesome for you w7.

Hi - just wanted to say I watched, and appreciated the video you did on changing one thing. I'm a vegetarian…stopped counting the years somewhere around 5, when I realized it just didn't matter how long it had been, only that I am here now. Took the time to vote for you/us (4 out of 5:) - the only thing i found ironic was that you were killing insects while making the point of no life being less than:) I love how we send messages to ourselves even as we share them with others…I have found myself killing an ant (or 2) over the years when they ventured into my home…I quickly apologized to them and to that which creates them, knowing I have no ability to create them myself. they are providing for their family as I provide for mine. before I consume any vegetable, fruit, water…any substance, I thank it for its life, for sharing its life with me, I thank Gaia for providing it, all those involved in bringing us together, especially that which creates all.

I have often believed that some involved in the slaughtering of animals are related to those who enslaved people - for they both have similar barbaric rituals and they both require a feeling of superiority - higher than that which they destroy.

Kudos and thank you for the video…and easy on the bug slapping:) lol - I recently came across a natural substance (have to verify that its natural) that really keeps bugs away and isn't harmful to your body - I will find it again and send you the name.

Thanks again!

Jaki! I am so stoked you noticed the mosquitoes… I'm not sure if you noticed but by I used the killing of mosquitoes to get across exactly what you mentioned. That we 'are all a part of this dynamic' and its 'just a matter of scale'.

For example, I squashed a mosquito at the same time somebody sent a plane into the twin towers. I tried to show how its possible to change by the end of the clip when I talked about my own evolution of going beyond meat that I no longer squatted the mosquito, but brushed her away.

Is it 'neem' you're looking for?

Thanks for the reminder though. I'm the type of guy who watches out for lines of ants on the ground so he knows where not to step. I do truly believe the micro is reflected on the macro, and while I don't eat meat, that I put any type of life below myself I feel creates a reality for myself where others do exactly the same thing.

I did get advice to edit out those parts, but I feel rather than put it out there that I am this all perfect being who isn't engaged in the dynamic is going to alienate myself I'll let my imperfections be seen. At the time of filming, mosquitoes were the one insect I felt ok about killing. Keep in mind I was living in the bush where every 20 seconds 1 or 2 new mosquitoes would land on you for a feed… but then one night, I had this really moving experience where I realised just how incredible earth is, and how lucky any of us are to be here… then I realised how even mosquitoes would feel lucky in their own way and that I was taking away this beautiful life for them by killing them. So I stopped.

We're all a part of the problem, and solution! Even me. :P
Thanks for dropping in Jaki and noticing what I didn't think anybody would! Only my closest friends who know how much of a contradiction I am when I am pushing ideas know to look out for these things. It is so bizarre that the very things we are against or try to change in the world are the very things we are probably wanting to eliminate inside ourselves.

There are definitely ties between slavery and animal eating. Some sort of deep threaded desire for control over another. Something about the need to have that feeling coursing through the veins. Eating meat in my opinion is worse than being a racist…. and in a very very low regard. I find it funny that its such a dilemma to be considered racist, yet those same people eat meat. I'm not sure if they see that eating meat has racism and rape pumping through every bite.

All the best friend!

Hi Bobby,

Yes, I realized you might be doing it for affect because you were rubbing the dead mosquitoes between your fingers…I was guided to your video - I found it doing a word search, but it wouldn't play. I downloaded the most recent version of the flash player - but by the time it was done I was offline. When I came back I had no idea what search lead me to the video, I figured if I were meant to see it, I would. Then I was reading something that you commented on and thought “hey, it's the guy with the video” lol…

I would have watched it twice to make the connection of the mosquito killings, but I sometimes have issues with graphic pictures…there are times that I can see what transpired…it is what I call the gift and curse…mostly it is a gift:)

Your comment on some beings having a deep threaded desire for control over another is something I've always been attentive to. You must have noticed how humans speak to their pets? Sit! Stay! Its interesting to me because you can communicate with an animal with no words at all. That leads back to what you are saying in the video about killing life because it doesn't speak your language. Truth is all life has language it is up to you to evolve to the level of being able to communicate. Dogs, cats, horses, they all take the time to learn our language, which is why they stop when we say, or sit, etc. But, you don't have to learn how to bark or meow to speak theirs, you merely have to join them from a place of your highest self, pure energy.

These are not things I can say in everyday conversation - LOL…but they are true. All life has an intelligence, we being placed in the position of “keeper” have the ability to speak/communicate - if we first stop limiting our perception of what language is - with all other forms of life. I must admit I've done this on many occasions and although those around are some what shocked (to see a horse leave them and walk over to me putting his face only inches from mine). I decided to study it (I'm big on energy and the connections you can make through it instead of words) it began with just trying to use it for healing purposes…they call it healing hands. It evolved into much more - because we are only limited by our perceptions of what can or cannot be true. Anyway, I got a serious headache getting a Zebra to acknowledge that it was receiving me - he didn't look too thrilled either! LOL. Then I decided to take it down a notch. You can never find others who are doing this stuff so its hard to compare notes! LOL…anyway, I tried with insects before, but only felt something with butterflies? Go figure…I'd rather spend time with/animals and humans, but thought it was worth a shot.

I've also found a difference in animals that are in captivity…Mostly I stopped or paused:) from doing it frequently because I didn't know what to do when I picked up on an animals sorrow/pain:(…I felt like a real loser for being able to tap into them and then not be prepared to do something. It can also be painful…not physical pain - its hard to describe, its like a feeling so deep within you that its beyond you and it directly connects to your heart. You don't remember crying but you can feel the tears on your face…its feeling the sorrow of another.

Anyway, I had no idea I was going to type all of that! LOL…if you have a pet you should try this (if you haven't already:). I'm often told the things I think everyone can do are things that mostly I can do - I don't believe that I believe its just about where you are and what your desires are. If you completely relax, let you mind be empty, fill you heart with all the love you have for the being you're looking to communicate with. Then speak to them without sound, from the most wonderful part of yourself send them love. They will acknowledge it if they receive you. This is why animals kiss people even when the person has said nothing aloud or given them a treat to eat. It is because they can feel the persons love. They can feel when you are sad, sick, lonely…they have mastered being.

I'm personally at a place of desiring to be all (and aparently more) than I can be, yet, feeling like maybe I can postpone it? LOL…when these kinds of things happen and you have no one to talk to it can be daunting. The more I relax and let it flow, the more I receive - it seems like YES, WOW, COOL - but sometimes its so many different things. I thought I'd dive into this stuff when I got really old - LOL, LOL…but there's a part of me that knows I came here for this…so why not live it…stop thinking…wishing…fearing…and keep being.

I figured there must be a site for people of like minds…and…gaia.com would be the perfect place! and here it is:)…depending on your energy, this may be a lot to taken in:) but if you haven't begun working with energy, try this. relax, feel all the love you have for this world, people, animals, let it fill your being - then extend your hands (palms up). stay in a place of love and power - turn your hands so they face one another and you should be able to feel the energy going from one to the other. I do something called (guess I call it:) energy healing, it is similar to this except you place your hands over the area in need of positive energy to help it heal.

Let me know how it goes! Or if you already do this - share!:)

Thanks again for the video!

Thanks so much for sharing and so extensively and openly jaki! I have a friend on Gaia here who is a very handsome fella who I find hard to believe is in his 40's goes by the name of Brian. You can see him on my friends list but besides the point, he speaks to animals… I mean he literally can be a medium between owners and pets and I believe convey the thoughts that the pets are having to the owners.

One day in a forum after a heated debate I was in with a few people on the topic of not eating animals because of the pain it inflicts on them, he brought my attention to the way in which we eat fruit and plants. Do plants feel pain? Well, it was concluded of course that they do experience a sort of pain or shock. Studies ranging from energy workers to electro magnetic response systems tell us that plants can hold onto pain and memory of traumatic incidents. Plants can even recoil when angry people come near to them and have even been shown to withdraw and wilt when they know they will be cut down.

I am quite familiar with energy work myself and can relate to the kind of empathy you talk about. It can be overwhelming to take on the energy of beings who are trapped as pets. Infact I have a couple of little dogs living next door to me who I can see from my window who I share love for every time I see them. The other people in my unit are frustrated with the dogs barking now and then which I find a real shame.

“Where are the animals supposed to go?”   I ask. Its as though us humans have figured out how to consume every bit of natural land and other animals have to live in complete submission to us. We humans are aloud to run around being completely destructive and pollutant, yet if a magpie defends its babies… off to the zoo with you! this is human territory! And if a dog barks after 7pm… lookout!

I've done hands on (and hands off) healing on just about everything and everything I can think of. Even a plank of wood I've had a love affair with believe it or not. Infact that plank of wood gave me some of the most unconditional love I've ever felt. I've played games with honey ants and even believe I breathed life into an ant once after it had drowned in the sweet bee nectar. One time I got really experimental and after getting tired of smacking march flies I decided to hold one for as long as I could.

“You want my energy?? Here… have it..” and for hours I sat there with it gently holding its structure. I could feel it as just a pulsating structure. I could feel its whole being being completely overwhelmed by my gigantic battery of energy blowing through its circuitry. I tried to tell it, without words, that there could be more to life than flying around stealing energy with its pin prick ways. I tried to tell it that it could be more like bees… that I'm sorry I don't fully accept it as a blood stealer and would prefer it if it gathered honey and helped flowers and forest grow. I told it that I would try and be more patient and loving towards the dosile little being if it could try and make moves in the direction of flowers.

Did it work? Not as planned. Infact the next day when the sun got warm enough for them to come looking for a feed there were so many more. It was as though he went back to the family and said “Hey mum!!! dad!! bros!!! this guy is giving out the good gear, you've got to come see!”. Of course they didn't know how to land on my hand for a intensified healing… instinct kicked in and they went straight for the blood in all the hard to reach places.

But I'll tell you what I saw that I was sure was affirmation. I saw a march fly that day that had a yellow and black bum… like a bee. I couldn't believe it, but at the same time, I was looking for it. Maybe that was my friend from the day before. Who knows? Did I help a new species forge out of mother nature? Will this little march fly be the marchbee … the first of its kind and start a wave like the 100th monkey? Time will tell. I have faith it probably will never forget that experience and is trying to coax its species into making the shift from the dangerous work of blood sucking to the fun of taking little journies into flowers.

As for the age thing, if we're all one, then the reality is that age is not the reality and that the reality is that we are ageless. We are eternal because our lives stretch far beyond whatever we are thinking of. So many people say they do not feel they age. They watch the vehicle they inhabit change as time goes on, but at the same time, they cannot say time is a real thing because inside, they feel most of the things they felt all along.
When I do energy healing, I just like to remind whoever or whatever it is… sometimes often it is myself who I am reminding myself of this. I find being reminded of the truth that we are ultimately eternal and already immortal is like a soothing elixr for this journey on the earth.

All the best fine earthlings.

p.s. jaki, if you can't stomach intense scenes of animal suffering, definitely do not watch earthlings, but maybe pass it onto people who are blind to the torture and sickness of the animal industry.
